About Diana Street
Diana Street has been hosting shows since September 2023. They have a “spacious back yard with food, thrifting, and a cozy fireplace…along with a unique professional DIY stage setup and sound system.” Even though shows are held outside, the Diana Street crew isn’t experiencing problems with noise complaints. “We have found that as long as the quality of music is enjoyable and we cut off at 9 PM we are good to go, and some neighbors even attend shows!”
Ethan Campbell, Will Sutton, and Zack Johnson started hosting shows “because we wanted to elevate the live music scene in the Murfreesboro area and help to make a better experience for college life.” When asked why they continue to host shows, they said it was “because of the community that has been created through the shows and the feeling that is shared by everyone involved at Diana Street.”
When asked about their favorite show, worst show, and favorite story, they said:
- Our favorite show was our Dazed and Confused festival. It was a beautiful day and all the people that showed up had great vibes. The bands played fantastic music and everyone had a great time.
- We haven’t had a least favorite show. The “bad” shows are just learning experiences for us on how to make the next show better. The worst thing we have to deal with is the rain, considering we are an outdoor venue in Tennessee.
- I would say a favorite story of ours was the Midsummer Motel, Outfield Clovers, and Camelot show. We were in the middle of a few days of heavy rain and it had turned our backyard into a mud pit. Fortunately, we were able to switch venues with the help of our friend Jackson Nelius who has a covered patio. We were able to put together one of our best shows ever while in the middle of a rainstorm. It took a whole crew of people to make it work but everyone stayed professional and the show went off with little to no problems. It was a great turnout, and I’ve attached a video of that night!
As of July 2024, this venue is still active and accepting bookings. They focus on indie and alternative rock, but are open to other genres. Shows are public events. People can reach out via email or DM them on Instagram.
