“The first house on 4th behind “Garbage Gardens” apartments was the Riff Raff house. Members of each band [featured in the yellow 1986 flyer – Richard DuBois, F Particles, Facsimile, and Riff Raff, excluding Blind Farmers], … were roomies in the house then or at one time or another. I rented that 4-BR house for four years and rented the extra rooms to band members, other musicians, and various kindred souls. Members of other MTSU based bands did time there also. Good times!”

“Ahhh! I was a resident there for a good part of 1987 with Mark Shenkel and Steve Jones!
When I first moved in, I remember spending the better part of a whole day cleaning, detoxifying, and decontaminating the main bathroom in the house! The next day my brother Brian Brown came in from CA for a visit and needed to use the bathroom as soon as he got there…. When he came back out he said “Geez…… that bathroom is really disgusting!”
…the one cleaning tool I needed most, a sandblaster, wasn’t available.”
