From Ben Wilkinson:

Back in the early 2000s for a short time the MTSU concert committee put on some pretty good shows in the JUB Tennessee Room. It’s a pretty big room and they would bring in their A-game PA system, stage, and lighting rig. These shows would be packed out because they were free and they got a few pretty big touring indie rock bands to headline them. If I’m remembering correctly, Andrew Seward (who went on the play in Against Me) was on the committee and these shows were his brainchild. I don’t remember exactly how many of these shows there were, but there had to be at least 3-4. One of them was The Promise Ring, who were pretty big at the time. My band got to open the Superdrag show cos we were buds with them. I remember that show being packed to the gills – it was absolutely crazy. Definitely over 1000 people there.
